Speakers searching for public speaking tips and visit my public speaking blog regularly can tell that I want speakers to earn significantly more of their income without traveling to speak so often. It’s my niche and something I study with regularity.

While other sites that discuss public speaking tips offer valuable ideas, most focus only on giving presentations to live audiences, not on earning passive income from speaking. I read almost every word on one of these sites (over 100 articles) and there was not one word devoted to the tip for public speaking I want to share with you today.

My most requested public speaking tip:

I suggest that all speakers turn every talk they do into products that people want to own. In my popular e-course, I said that speakers need to record every talk that they do and convert those recordings into a product whether it is a physical product (CD/DVD), a digital product, an electronic product, a report, an article, or whatever. I am talking about recording every presentation, every speech, and every seminar they give.

This public speaking tip is profitable!

Because there are at least 50 different ways to repurpose any single recording, if you are recording every talk that you do, start with the intention of turning it into a product.  Then take that one product and turn it into as many as 50 different products. When you do you can begin to take over the marketplace.

As internet marketing genius John Reese once said, “more content allows you to begin owning more of the marketplace; owning more of the Internet”. This is the essence of a product continuum and those who practice this way of running their business will tell you how profitable it can be.

So if you’re still working on your Christmas wish list - ask Santa to give you a digital recorder and a decent lavaliere microphone, so you can begin profiting too…
