Online Video Archives

Every speaker that I’ve ever met, spoken with or consulted for wants to create great, memorable content that is so well received that it “goes viral”.

I was planning to talk more about this subject in future posts as we move further into the series of “new rules”, but today I received a link to a beautiful piece of video that you absolutely must see.

When I released my new report last week, I must have struck a nerve. There seems to be some real excitement building over the release of my course “Stepping Stones to Speaking Success” which is targeted to relatively new speakers (or those who are absolute beginners).

I’ve reported to you, my friends and followers, since 2003 or so that online video was going to make a real (very real) impact on pretty much every industry, including public speaking.

I’ve studied the market closely and feel strongly that the narrowing of niche markets, the access to world wide audiences and shift from being “a speaker” to being a “content provider who speaks as a form of distribution” was underway.

I read an interesting article today that public speakers everywhere should take note of. The article discusses the future of cable television and as I read, thought “this is exactly what I have been saying will happen.”

You see, the cable companies all know that content is king – but that consumers will want their content delivered to them everywhere. These companies are moving toward being the pipeline that the content is delivered through and not being as involved in the content itself.

I spend most of my work time researching tips for public speaking and my friends who make their living in public speaking. Until recently I did not buy into the idea of a recession, but with the facts becoming clearer about the changing state of the public speaking business, I wanted to share some speaking tips for the “new” economy that we will experience.
