Hi Scott,

I enjoyed your post about 5 of the marketing lessons you learned from Jim Rohn (keep 'em coming, eh?) - and I personally am a Huge fan of "personal responsibility... not to get all *philosophical* but no one really knows if situations are ruled by fate/destiny or free will / personal choice but in any event, it's truly much more empowering to simply take responsibility for our business and marketing results.

Putting the "responsibility" for how things turn out on external events - even when those external events that affected our results were totally and completely out of our control - is simply disempowering.

Sure, it may be true that we can't control what happens around us, but we can control what we decide to do about it!

I like your style, Scott! Looking forward to more of your posts.

Best,
David Portney

This post is right on, Scott. Thanks for these reminders.

My favorite quotes:

"Create a broadcast schedule so you know when to blog, when to tweet, when to release your next podcast, etc."

"Always remember – people buy from people. More importantly, they buy from people that they know, like and trust."

So true...
